Una serie di animazione di Rey Mysterio arriverà su Cartoon Network Latin America nel 2022. Vedrà la star della WWE combattere contro le forze del male dentro e fuori dal ring.
Prodotta dallo studio messicano ¡Viva Calavera!, la serie è stata annunciata per la prima volta durante il Pixelatl Festival 2020 un paio di mesi fa.
Ora i produttori hanno inviato una descrizione dettagliata dello show, rivelando alcuni punti cruciali della trama . La serie si chiama “Rey Mysterio vs. La Oscuridad”
Questa la sinossi ufficiale del progetto:
“Rey Mysterio vs. La Oscuridad tells the story of Oscar , a wrestling fan, who will team up with his idol, Rey Mysterio , to face supernatural beings and fight against the forces of evil; villains from the world of wrestling and characters from Mexican traditions and the world of fantasy. Behind these extraordinary opponents is Uroboros , an evil fighter who uses dark forces that he does not fully understand. Rey Mysterio and Oscar must work together and do their best to defend the city and themselves from his evil plans.”
